Users find Tuskr to be a user-friendly and intuitive tool for managing and organizing their manual testing process. It offers a high level of detail and customization options, such as custom fields, test types, and statuses, allowing users to tailor the testing process to their specific needs. Tuskr's ability to easily add images and comments to complex test cases enhances the level of detail. Many organizations use Tuskr to implement and organize test runs for quality assurance before releasing updates to an online portal, providing a convenient repository of test runs for easy access. In addition, Tuskr integrates seamlessly with other tools like Github, JIRA, and Slack, enabling frictionless workflows. The user-friendly interface and easy navigation of Tuskr make it simple for users to create and maintain test cases. Moreover, the generous pricing plans offered by Tuskr compared to similar products make it an attractive option for effective test case management. With Tuskr, users can track work progress on current test runs and automate the creation of new JIRA bugs based on test results. This solves the problem of maintaining test cases by providing easy management, creation of test suites, and attachment of files. The dashboard module in Tuskr provides an overview of overall statistics of test cases from different projects, empowering informed decisions and actions based on organized and analyzed test data. Ultimately, Tuskr addresses various business problems and streamlines workflow in software development by facilitating task management, project organization, and team collaboration. It serves as a comprehensive solution for managing tasks, tracking project milestones, and fostering effective teamwork at a reasonable price point.

Custom Fields: Many users have found the custom fields feature to be extremely helpful for defining steps in every test case and grouping test cases, allowing for highly organized test runs and a streamlined testing process. This feature has been praised by multiple reviewers.

Seamless Navigation: The seamless navigation feature has received positive feedback from numerous reviewers. It makes it incredibly easy to navigate through particular tests, saving valuable time and greatly improving efficiency during the testing process.

Communication of Issues: Users have consistently highlighted the usefulness of the feature that allows for easy communication of issues through the app to team members. This functionality promotes effective collaboration among team members and ensures that any issues are promptly addressed.

Inconvenient Test Status Clearing: Many users have found it inconvenient that the status automatically clears when clicking into a specific test, requiring them to reselect the desired status. This repetitive action can disrupt their workflow and slow down their testing process.

Difficulty in Following Step-by-Step Order: Several reviewers have mentioned that they find it challenging to follow a step-by-step order when there are multiple QA steps due to the side-by-side structure of the table. The lack of clear visual cues or indicators for sequential execution makes it harder for users to maintain an organized and systematic approach.

Time-consuming Learning Process: A significant number of users have expressed frustration with the software's learning curve, finding it time-consuming to fully understand and utilize all its features. The complex interface and lack of intuitive guidance contribute to a steep learning curve, which can be overwhelming for new users trying to quickly grasp the functionalities.

We are using it for software testing purpose. It helped us very much to simplify our test process and save our valuable time. Tuskr enriched our software testing experience. Even we able to run multiple test cases simultaneously. It enabled us to import test cases from .csv files as well as from other software testing tool.
  • Run multiple test cases simultaneously
  • It enriches your software testing experience
  • It simplifies your software testing processes
  • Pricing
  • More documentation is required for some of advanced features
It is well suited for all types of organization whether it is small, medium or large scale organization. It is one of the best solutions to simplify software testing process. It also allows you to run multiple test cases simultaneously. It is not recommended if you have simple test cases or very less test cases because it will cost you more.

We use Tuskr to implement and organize test runs to perform QA before we release new updates to our online portal. Tuskr is keeping a repository of our product's QA test runs that we can easily access to quickly run through testing when we have a scheduled release. Upon logging in, I can seamlessly navigate to the current test run and see everything that needs to be done before our release.
  • Organization of all the test runs our team uses
  • Seamless navigation through particular tests
  • Features make it easy to communicate issues through the app to team members
  • When you click into a specific test, the status automatically clears. it would be nice for this to be preserved when clicking in instead of clearing
  • It would be nice to be able to add comments specific to certain steps in each test, instead of just one big comment box
  • Since we use Tuskr for QA, we structure it as a table with instructions and expected results. because these are side by side, sometimes it is hard to go in a step-by-step order when there are multiple QA steps to take to complete the test.
We pretty much only use Tuskr for QAing our releases before they go live in our production environment. Since my experience is only with that use case, I can only speak to that, but I think Tuskr is extremely well suited as a QAing tool. My team members and I find it easy to use and a good safety measure to ensure we're putting out good quality releases.

I mainly use Tuskr in my organization to organize and create test cases for my program. In the past, creating test cases is more complicated and can be tedious at times. This caused the employees to be discouraged in creating test cases. Tuskr added more flexibilities and more options to make the process a lot easier and smoother for the employees.
  • Great GUI that shows test result in detail.
  • Workload chart to point who is doing a good job at testing.
  • Editor that makes creating test cases easier.
  • Should expand to do more than just testing, such as coding too.
  • Takes sometimes to learn.
  • Pricing is good for small time, not too great for a large company.
Tuskr is well suited if you need a platform to write test cases and monitor your test results. Tuskr has a well-defined GUI that allows you to easily see your test results and additional information regarding your tests. However, this software is not really suited for those who already have already created tests and utilize Jenkins. Tuskr doesn't seem to do a good job at integrating with existing software out there.

  • Make the process to create tests a lot smoother, so increase production value by reducing bugs released to customers.
  • Learning curves hinders some progress at the beginning.
  • Pricing is great for a small team, worth it with 30 days trial as well.
Overall, I'd say that Tuskr has a much nicer interface than Jenkins, it does a great job to show your test results and additional information regarding it (errors, warnings, etc...). Even though it does take time to learn how to use the software, it is somewhat easier to learn compared to Jenkins and has a better interface from the get-go.
